RainyDay

what an amazing spring collection by burberry prorsum. christopher bailey, creative director, said he was inspired by his garden in yorkshire and especially the rainy britain summer sky. i think he did very well. i love the soft washed-out colours and the colour gradients. garden girl meets flapper girl! i especially love these dress-trench-combinations and of course the slouchy hats. i look forward to spring!!!

hey,
sorry...i havent posted for a while but i`m so busy with studying right now. and this post isn't about fashion again, i'm so much into photography right now. i found some beautiful pictures by hedi slimanes photo diary:

I really love the "reality" in these pictures, they're all about beeing young & just living your own live...i don't know, they're at the same time carefree and melancholic. They're not posed...
... really stunning!

OhRomeo

You may have already seen the lovely romeo and juliet photo-story, which is published in the us vogue (december) but i really love it-the dresses, the settings, the colours...everything
Lovely Coco Rocha is Juliet and the dancer Roberto Bolle is Romeo. The photos were shot by Annie Leibovitz and i adore the style of them, they look like antique paintings of the renaissance...not to mention the gorgeous dresses our juliet is wearing...

it's cold outside! why do i have to leave then?

awww! today i have to go back to university, i stayed in during the last two days so i had a very long weekend and could stay inside my warm apartment. into the bargain, it just started snowing outside!!! dont get me wrong i really like snow but i dont like the cold-an unhappy combination.
that's why today im wearing a rather comfy combination. after all i have only one class and there i will wear a lab coat, so there is really no reason to dress up.

FreshFaces

hey everyone, during the last weeks of fashion research i always came across the same "new" faces that ruled the catwalks in the SS shows 09. i could no longer ignore Sigrid Agren, the 17-year old french beauty ruled the catwalks at the ny-fashion week and also in paris, there she opened alexander mcqueen, barbara bui, karl lagerfeld, sonia rykiel, wunderkind and yves saint laurent and she closed louis vuitton. do i have to say more?
she did an editorial in the novemeber issue of teen vogue

i think she's got the type of a classical beauty with a touch of bambi (big brown eyes), her face has got a classical, perfect shape and her long blonde hair is georgeous...

Number two is the only sixteen-year old Amanda Laine
who already had a great run at the fashion shows of fall/winter 08/09. The canadian beauty is the winner of V magazines model search. her face is edgy and very serious, she's king of an opposite to sigrid agren but her face is really interesting and has a high recognition-potential....and she reminds me of someone, but i dont know who...and thats making me crazy ;)

ha! now i know...she reminds of margherita missoni
